Image bm805.GIF Depth Sort Render Group
Objects

The depth sort render group element is a logical switch defining, if the group that an object belongs to, should be depth sorted. The switch must be set only after the active object's render group has been selected. The depth sorting is done by the distance of the object from the camera. When a group is depth sorted, then the objects in the group are rendered from the most distant objects to the nearest ones. As a default value, the depth sorting is switched on for render groups 8 through 11 only, which are intended for transparent objects. The depth sorting is a time consuming operation, therefore it should be carried out in inevitable cases only.
